A new era begins for SPC Volleyball

SPC is entering the season with a new head volleyball coach! Coach Grace Richmeyer was selected to lead the Titans Volleyball team after a long, extensive coaching search. Though it’s her first time as a head coach, Richmeyer has a lot of experience coaching the game. During her time as an assistant coach at Eckerd College and St. John’s River State College, she was able to build off her many years coaching high-level club volleyball.

Her first challenge: starting from scratch compiling a roster. With no returners, she started in March, hitting the road for some heavy recruiting with the help of Assistant Coach Cody Chernoff.  They have not only managed to put together a full roster, but with the talent level of the team, they have constructed a team that can compete for a title in the Sunlakes Conference!

Richmeyer said she is eager to see the team develop this season.

“The athletes on the roster are very dynamic and have really bought into and committed to rebuilding the program,” she said. “I can’t wait to see them compete in the tough Sunlakes Conference.”
