Martinez Named D1 Player of the Week

SPC Freshman Andrey Martinez, a product of Barranquilla, Colombia, won his first FCSAA Player of the Week award after a stellar two-week span of baseball.  Martinez hit a scorching .563 (9-16) with five runs scored in four games. During that stretch, he scored five runs, one double, two home runs, one stolen base, and nine RBIs. Additionally, he hit safely in all four games, which included a pair of games against both State College of Florida and Polk State. In game two vs. State College of Florida, he was 4-for-4, homered twice and drove in seven runs in the Titans' 13-11 win.
