Snook, with long blond hair and a blue jacket

For the second time in the past three weeks, SPC Sophomore second baseman Sierra Snook was named the Florida College Systems Athletics Association (FCSAA) Player of the Week. Snook has been on an absolute tear, leading all levels of softball in batting average and hitting an amazing .616 on the season. This average has her leading not only the state of Florida, but also the entire nation.

Snook batted .923 this week, going 12-13 with four runs scored, two RBI’s, and four stolen bases in four games. Additionally, she went 6-7 in a double header against the State College of Florida on Thursday. On Saturday, Snook was 4-4 in two games against the Eagles of Polk State College.

Pitcher of the Week

Justice, with long blonde hair and a blue St. Pete Softball windbreaker SPC Sophomore pitcher Justice McCraine was named the FCSAA Pitcher of the week. The crafty righty went 2-0, had one save, and had a sub-one era (0.45) this week against conference opponents Polk State and the State College of Florida. McCraine also pitched two complete games and a save in the 15.2 innings pitched. In total, McCraine allowed only 15 hits and one earned run while striking out four batters.

The Lady Titans have clinch a playoff spot in the NJCAA Region VIII, FCSAA State Tournament that begins May 5 at the Legends Way Ball Fields in Clermont, Florida. With three games remaining in the conference, the Titans only need one win to be crowned SunCoast Conference Champions for the 2023 season.
