Softball Players Tapped for Division I First and Second Teams

The Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) recently announced its 2023 Division I All-FCSAA/All-NJCAA Region 8 first and second softball teams, and St. Petersburg College (SPC) is represented on both rosters!

Sierra Snook, a sophomore from Palm Harbor, Florida was tapped to be a first-team member as a top infielder in Division I. Snook was recently named one of SPC’s two Top Female Athletes of the Year, as well as the softball team’s Most Valuable Player. She was also named the Suncoast Conference Player of the Year, and a two-time FCSAA/Region 8 Player of the Week. Snook’s .592 batting average makes her Region 8’s leader and puts her second in the nation.

 

Second-team members from SPC were infielder Kelsey Kadlub of Wesley Chapel, Florida and at-large player Karleigh Curtis, of Altamonte Springs, Florida.

Kadlub, a sophomore, was recently named Offensive Player of the year at SPC and First-team All-Suncoast. She batted .424 this year, with nine home runs and 64 RBI, which ranked her third in Region 8.

 

Curtis is also a sophomore and was named First-team All-Suncoast. She batted .465 with 28 RBI, 37 runs and 21 stolen bases.
