The defeats continue as the Titans of St. Petersburg College lost yet again last night to the Manatees of SCF. State College of Florida hammered the Titans 26-5 in 7 innings in Bradenton. It has been a hard season for SPC (14-24) in which the Titans have not won a game since March 28th and has struggled to get back to their winning ways. SPC came out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the 1st only to have that lead taken away as SCF scored 3 in the bottom of the 1st. The runs continued for State College of Florida as they scored a whopping 12 runs in the bottom of the 4th to take a 16-3 lead. The Titans were shut out the rest of game only to watch SCF score 2 in the 5th and 8 in 6th to hand the Titans their 5th straight loss. Despite the loss rightfielder Logan Sanders was the standout for SPC having 2 runs off 3 hits and 2 RBI's. The Titans are off today but, will take home field tomorrow night as they host SCF for the 3rd and final game of this 3 game series. First pitch for Friday night's contest is set for 6pm at Jack Russell Stadium.
