The St. Petersburg College Lady Titans Softball team started 2018 hot, going 5-1 their opening weekend. Our Sophomore Pitchers, Jennifer Jernigan and Emily Baker led the team and secured 2 wins each. After starting hot, the team was soon tested by facing off against the 2 ranked team in the state, the College of Central Florida. Our Lady Titans lost their first match, but bounced back in the second winning 4-2. In that win, Emily Baker went the distance by going 7 innings. She completed the game giving up only 4 hits. The offense was led by Sophomore 1B Kylie Ernst, who went 2-3 with a double and 2 RBIs.
Thursday begins a long road trip for our Lady Titans who will not return home until February 22. Go Titans!
