The Titans of St. Petersburg College are on a roll having won 4 in a row and their most recent victory came yesterday when they defeated their conference foe in Hillsborough Community College. The Titans (27-15) won both games by a total of 22-6 having won game 1 8-6 in a close matchup and then shutting out the Hawks in game 2 by a score of 14-0. In game 1, the Titans were down by 3 runs heading into the 7th inning when infielder Sierra Snook got a hit that started the comeback. Shortly after the hit Abbey Dickson scored a double, pitch hit RBI by Sammy Wilson, a infield single by Alyssa Rano which then led to a 3 run bomb by catcher Jade Frank which led to the 8-6 win. In game 2 it was all Titans as they scored 14 runs in 5 innings to complete the shutout. Pitcher Lindsey Maresca earned the win and Jade Frank's homeruns continued with 3 more in game 2 and Maddy Wells was 2-4, a double and a RBI. The Titans next home game is tomorrow when they are set to host the Eagles of Polk State College. First pitch for game 1 of this doubleheader is set for 5pm. Admission is always free at Eddie C.
