The St. Petersburg Lady Titans Tennis team participated in this past weekend's Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Fall Regional Championships in Altamonte Springs. The Lady Titan's #1 doubles team of Olivia Erlandsson and Jazz Whittaker won the doubles tournament. They did so in a convincing fashion by defeating Hillsborough Community College 8-0 in the final. The team had victories vs. Broward College in the Quarter-finals (8-0) and against Eastern Florida in the Semi-final match (8-2).

In winning the main draw in doubles, Erlandsson and Whittaker have qualified to play in the ITA Small College National Championships on Oct. 10-13 to be held in Ft. Myers. The Small College Championships consist of ITA regional winners from NCAA Division III, NAIA and NJCAA.

The doubles team of Melanie Gray and Cailynn Madsen also won the "B" draw of the competition defeating Eastern College (8-4) in the finals. In singles, Anri Ueno made it to the semi-finals of the main draw. She had wins over Hope Fellows of Eastern Florida (6-0,6-0) and Bailey Palmer of Florida State College- Jacksonville (7-5,6-1), before succumbing to the tournament's eventual winner, Miranda Talbert of State College of Florida-Manatee (7-5,6-0).
