St. Petersburg College's Tennis Lady Titans, An Tagashira and Kokoro Chishaki, finished the 2016-2017 ranked nationally at #2 in doubles. After a mid-season hamstring injury to An Tagashira, the Lady Titans #1 doubles team hit their stride with major key victories at the NJCAA National Championships before succumbing to ASA College in the finals.  

The Lady Titans Team finished the season with a #6 National Ranking. An Tagashira is being courted by numerous Universities and Colleges after completing her Sophomore year here at SPC. Kokoro Chishaki, a 2016 NJCAA Player of the Week, will be returning to the Titans for the 2016-2017 season.

Tagashira and Chishaki join Madeline Johnson, Jovana Vasic and Greta Veinberga as SPC's ITA/NJCAA  All-Americans during the first nine seasons of the team.
