Lady Titans Move to NJCAA D2

Lady Titans Move to NJCAA D2

St. Petersburg College has been playing volleyball since 1997.  In these 22 years, SPC and has seen three different coaches and over 170 players from Florida, the US, and the world.  In recent years, the Lady Titans have had a very international flavor bringing students to the Gibbs Campus from over 18 different countries.  These student-athletes have not only brought diversity to the campus, but were also great students posting an average 3.4 GPA.

The Lady Titans have posted impressive accolades including winning 5 Conference championships, qualifying for 16 State Championships, holding a national ranking for 9 seasons.  Our players have earned All-State honors 19 times, Conference Player of the Year 6 times, and All-American honors 5 times.  In the past 4 years, the team posted a 76% winning average including 3 conference championships, 6 all-state players,  3 All-Americans, and a trip to the National Championships.  Lady Titans have gone on to play all levels of NCAA and NAIA Volleyball programs.

NJCAA Division 2 will bring a new recruiting focus offering scholarships that cover only tuition and books.  As we close down the D1 program and transition to D2, we are proud of the student-athletes that have come thru the program, made the Lady Titans a success.  The Lady Titans comprise a wonderful group of student-athletes and we wish them success in all their endeavors.
