SPC Softball a Good Mix of Newcomers and Vets

The Lady Titans softball squad is getting great contributions on the mound from this year’s freshman class. Pitchers Kassidy Goodpaster and Kaylee Childers have jumped right in with sophomore slinger Justice McCraine and are shaping up to what could potentially be one of the most impressive pitching staffs in the conference. As of today, three of the four starting pitchers have ERAs under .200.

The Titans have not had much trouble scoring runs, either. Sophomore Sierrah Snook is tops on the team in batting average, hitting an impressive .619. That mark makes her second in the state and 17th in the nation in batting average!

With six players hitting over .300, sophomore Kelsey Kadlub has been the top supplier of power at the plate. Slugging .633, Kelsey leads the team with 11 RBIs in 30 at bats. The Titans' next home games will be a double-header against Ontario State on Tuesday, February 21 at the Eddie C. Moore complex in Clearwater. Start times are 2 and 4 p.m.
