After a long hard season and back to back conference championships coach Earnest Crumbley and the Men's basketball team found themselves in the State Championship game down by 8 points at the half. Not many know what was said in the locker room during half time. For everyone in attendance at the Patiots Gym in Ocala, FL they witnessed a group of men coming together with humility and teamwork.
Lead by sophomores Jason Burnell, Cezanne Carson, and Tristan Owens the Titans went on to out score Eastern Florida State College 19 to 37 in the second half winning the game 59 to 69.
Now the Men's basketball team will prepare for the National Tournament in Hutchinson, Kansas at the Hutchinson Sports Arena March 20th through the 25th.
Additional to winning the State Championship, the Titans received the following athletic and academic awards:
- Hal Chasey Scholar Athlete Award Tristan Owens
- Tournament Most Valuable Player Jason Burnell
