Title: Assistant Basketball Coach

James Russell IV has been coaching basketball for 11 years. Coach Russell’s duties for the Titans include game stat keeping and recruiting in the Mid-Atlantic region of the country. The 2023-2024 season will be his 1st year on Titans Men’s basketball staff, his prior men’s college basketball coaching stops include 2 years as an assistant coach at Flagler College in St Augustine, FL and 1 year as the assistant director of basketball operations/video coordinator at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL. Coach Russell has also coached boys’ basketball at the high school level for 8 years in Central Pennsylvania.

Coach Russell has known head coach Earnest Crumbley for over 16 years. He has sent Coach Crumbley recruiting information on 15 to 20 potential Titans, 2 of those players included former Titan all conference players Colton Lewis 2012 and Dyllon Hudson-Emory 2014.  As an assistant at Flagler College, he helped recruit and obtain a commitment from former all-conference Titan Lyndon Merthie 2006.

James Russell IV is a native of Harrisburg, PA and he graduated from Central Dauphin High School. After graduating HS, he earned his associate degree from Harrisburg Area Community College in business administration.  After HACC he transferred to Flagler College in St Augustine, FL where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Sport Management. Coach Russell currently resides in Hummelstown, PA with his 6-year-old daughter Penelope.
