Veterans Huff, Barnes look to Power Lady Titans campaign

This season all eyes will be on team batting average leading sophomores (3rd year participants due to Covid) Bella Huff and Hannah Barnes. Last season, 3B/OF Bella Huff batted .402 including 8 doubles, 4 tripes and 4 HR along with 9 stolen bases. "Bella provides much of the needed spark and competitiveness the team needs on a day-to-day basis" says Coach Myers. Myers follows up with "We will definitely be relying on her again for this and her ability to play a couple different defensive positions."

Hannah Barnes has also proved to be a true utility player in addition to her prowess at the plate . While catching is her primary position, Barnes also appears regularly at 1B and OF. Hannah led the team offensively in most categories last season, boasting a .470 batting average. She also led in doubles with 13, triples (5), runs batted in (38), Slg .700, OBP .523 - all of this with zero strike outs. Coach Myers is adamant about the effect the slugging duo has on her squad "Keeping both girls healthy and in the lineup will make us more complete and a much bigger threat offensively". The Lady Titans start their spring season on January 29th against Florence Darling Technical College at 10am, followed by a 3pm game against Georgia Military College the Eddie C Moore Complex 3050 Drew St, Clearwater fields 1-4.
