Lady Titans Victorious In Home Finale

The lights couldn't have shined any brighter on a special Sophomore Night for the Lady Titans of St. Petersburg College. The Lady Titans (8-17) in front of an amazing crowd finshed their home slate with a commanding 72-58 victory over Florida State College at Jacksonville. Sophomores Megan Watson, Isis Triplett, Kyana Johnson, and Brittany Wilcox were recognized at halftime. These athletes were presented with a token of their contributions for all they have given to the Titans program througout their career at SPC by Head Basketball Coach Denisha Davidson and Assistant Coach Tamica Coley. As for the game itself, the first quarter was all Titans as they jumped out to a 16-9 lead in the first quarter and only got better as the game progressed. Leading by 9 at halftime, the Lady Titans then came out on fire in the 2nd half scoring 41 points to secure the victory. The Lady Titans finish their home slate with a 6-6 record here at SPC-Gibbs. Through 25 games the Lady Titans have averaged 59.9 points per game with a 3PT percentage of 32.3%. The Lady Titans play their final 2 games on the road starting this weekend when they travel to Gainesville to take on Santa Fe College on Saturday, February 19th. Their season concludes on Tuesday, February 22nd when they travel to Eastern Florida State College in Titans vs Titans finale.
