As another year of classes begins at St Petersburg College so does the kickoff to the Titans Volleyball season.  We had a chance to sit down with last years Titan of the Year award winner Kaitlin Boyd to talk about the upcoming season.

"In Volleyball it is extremely important to unite as a team. I believe this year will be successful if we are able to achieve that", said Boyd as she was pulled away from an intense outside hitters drill.  Kaitlin feels that the talent on this years team is by far some of the best she has seen during her time at SPC.  With a wide range of girls from all over the world, the international talent coach Scott White has gathered has the potential to make some noise around the state of Florida. 

When asked about any matches or tournaments she is looking forward to playing in this season Kaitlin responded vigorously, "The State tournament, and not just getting there but winning it."  The Titans first home match is September 22, at the Gibbs Campus Gymnasium at 6:00pm.  Admission is free at all Volleyball and SPC athletic activities.
