Wilfredo Rodríguez is a native of Carolina, Puerto Rico. His career at baseball started at the early age of four years old. From the begging of his career his passion and dedication set him apart from others.

That same passion and determination lead him to be drafted by the Colorado Rockies, in the seventh round of the 2012 MLB Draft. Rodriguez played for that same organization until 2015. Wilfredo extended his professional career playing for the Chicago White Sox, and Olmecas de Tabasco in México, among other professional teams. During the 2017 winter ball season in the Roberto Clemente league in Puerto Rico, Wilfredo earned the catcher of the year accolades. His journey in the island’s professional league include stops with teams such as Criollos de Caguas, Cangrejeros de Santurce, Tiburones de Aguadilla and Gigantes de Carolina.

Rodriguez is a member is the Puerto Rico National Team on which he became a two time Gold Medallist at the Central American and Caribbean Games at Barranquilla 2018, and at the PanAmerican Games at Lima 2019. Rodriguez have had the privilege to be a part of six championship teams throughout his professional career which gives him an edge when tailoring what he call his success formula. This formula is rooted in team work, dedication, hard work, togetherness, love, passion, and confidence.

 

After finishing his career as a professional baseball player, Wilfredo started the WRhitting&catching instructor company where he specialized in designing and planning specific work plans based on the weaknesses and strengths of baseball players, especially in the area of ​​catchers and hitters. Wilfredo has an associate degree in business administration. Wilfredo is certified with the Rapsodo company in the area of ​​hitting. In the last 5 years he has worked with players of all ages but he has stood out most with professional and collegiate level players. He has worked with more than 50 college players and more than 20 professional players including several major league players such as Neftali Soto, Roberto Perez, Christian Vazquez, Cristian Colon among others.
