The Titan Alumni continue to impress as SPC’20 Graduate Roberta Ribeiro earned 1st Team All-American honors at FIU and SPC’18 Graduate Ana Costa earned 2nd Team All-American Honors at Stetson University.
The Lady Titans are proud to see one of our alumni continue to earn honors. Ana Costa (SPC 16-17) matriculated to Stetson University where she was named the Pre-Season Player of the Year for the ASUN Conference. Ana played the last two years for the Hatters, playing at 1’s last year with fellow SPC Alumni Kyce Martins. Ana leads the Stetson Hatters to their pre-season #11 ranking in the AVCA D1 Beach Volleyball Rankings. Congratulations to Ana and best of luck this season!
St. Petersburg College has been playing volleyball since 1997. In these 22 years, SPC and has seen three different coaches and over 170 players from Florida, the US, and the world. In recent years, the Lady Titans have had a very international flavor bringing students to the Gibbs Campus from over 18 different countries. These student-athletes have not only brought diversity to the campus, but were also great students posting an average 3.4 GPA.
SPC is proud of all our alumni that have gone on to play in the NCAA. This spring SPC is represented on three nationally ranked teams. Congratulations to these ladies and GO TITANS!

The SPC Titan women's volleyball team finished third in the Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) state volleyball tournament held in Bradenton Nov. 3-5. The Titans, ranked 11th in the country, now head to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division 1 tournament, for the first time in college history. The tournament starts Thursday, Nov. 16 in Kansas.
The Lady Titans Volleyball team captured their second consecutive Suncoast Conference victory when they toppled rival Hillsborough Community College Thursday night. The match, a nail biter that went five sets, played out in front of a lively crowd of Titan faithful.

The Lady Titan Volleyball team recruits heavily from South America including Brazil. The new recruits finished the summer winning the U21 Championships in Rio de Janeiro. Giovanna Gonclaves defeated her soon-to-be Titan teammate Kyce Martins in the semi-finals then went on the win the Champonship. “We are proud of our future Titans and how well they are doing on the sands of Rio. While we’d love to have them here as soon as possible, we are excited they all did so well and gained valuable experience they can bring to SPC” commented Coach White. “We open the season on August 22nd, 6 PM in the Gibbs Gymnasium. I can’t wait to see what she can do indoors!"
The FIVB is hosting the U21 World Beach Volleyball Championships in Nanking, China, and SPC is well represented. Two incoming freshman, Michelle Valiente from Paraguay and Martyna Kloda, from Poland are competing for their home counties in China including.
